World War II: Dec. 7, 1941 - Dec.31, 1946
Korean War: June 25, 1950 - Jan. 31, 1955
Vietnam War: Feb. 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975
Lebanon: Aug. 24, 1982 - Jul. 31, 1984
Grenada/Panama: Dec. 20, 1989 - Jan. 31, 1990
Persian Gulf War: Aug. 2, 1990 -
Afghanistan War: October 2001 -
Iraq War: March 2003 -
The Auxiliary is open to family members of past or present members of an American Legion Post.
SAL Membership is open to all male descendants, adopted sons,
and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such
male descendants of Veterans of WW I and wars afterwards,
who were honorably discharged and are now deceased.
